Volunteering Programs in Sri Lanka

Our volunteering programs are designed to create meaningful impact while offering participants a truly authentic Sri Lankan experience. Each 14-day program focuses on key areas such as child and community development, youth sector empowerment, environmental protection, and celebrating Sri Lanka’s rich cultural festivals.

Before starting each project, volunteer teams will prepare detailed project proposals under the guidance of Lanka Volunteer Travel (LVT) and obtain necessary approvals from relevant local authorities. This process provides participants with valuable project design, planning, and implementation skills, enriching both their professional and personal development.

Throughout the program, volunteers will engage in 5–6 hours of project-related activities on weekdays, working closely with local communities to bring about positive and lasting change. Evenings and weekends are reserved for relaxation and exploration, with opportunities to enjoy yoga sessions, village tours, sightseeing, cultural exchange programs, night functions, fun games, and group activities.

Volunteers will experience genuine Sri Lankan hospitality, with simple but delicious local meals provided three times a day and shared accommodation.

At the end of the 14 days, participants can also join an optional round tour to explore more of Sri Lanka’s breathtaking natural beauty and cultural heritage. all arranged at a reliable and affordable cost.

Join us for a meaningful journey that combines service, culture, and adventure, creating memories that last a lifetime while making a real difference in the lives of others.
